Movie Review: KL Gangster

aku tak pasti,
mungkin ia sebab aku cuma tengok dekat youtube...
mungkin sebab aku tak jumpa part 5/6, jadi cerita tu tak lengkap...

taklah buat aku rasa ni lah filem melayu paling best pernah aku tengok...

dialog walaupun gangster tapi macam scripted sangat.

tapi, yang menyelamatkan filem ini antaranya zizan, aaron aziz yang super hunk, adi putra yang super cool...
syamsul is syamsul, what else to be expected.

kiranya untuk bintang aku bagi 3.5 /5 bintang (not bad & above average)

Movie Review: Transformers 3 - Dark of The Moon

"aku lah sailormoon! dengan kekuatan bulan akan menghukummu!"
ooppss... wrong channel.

I went to watch the latest of Transformers trilogy last nite.
Well, I read some review and they are not so good, yet, I just need to complete my series.

Okay, this is how it it.
The storyline is just too boring for me. I understand and follow the story, but it just seems loss and boring.
The character is too predictable, and Rosie Huntington Whiteley (dammit I even have to google her coz I don't know her at all) is more robotic than any other robot you see in the movie. At least I understand the purpose of Megan Fox was there in the first place, and you gotta keep her for the second one coz she's one of the magnet for the movie. This Rosie Huntington Whiteley can't even deliver a line and being sexy there for a purpose I don't understand. (yes, it almost like watching soft porn).
Halfway through, I feel like sleeping, I keep yawning, keep looking at my watch and I wish it finish as soon as possible.
Yet the hours are extended and the story continue. There is a plot-hole there, a big one.
Alien invasion? Ok. Human as slave for robot? err.. lame.
The CGI effect, the explosion, the gigantic robot transforming is great, but they just can't make up for the dull predictable story, 2 dimensional acting, and ah, a lot more which I can't or choose not to ramble.
But, I do love the Nokia X7 in there, or the head of intelligence played by Frances McDormand, and the best shall be Megatron dirty cloth as a prop to show that he is now an abandoned robot leader. #LOL

The only thing I love about it is the soundtrack.
1. Iridescent – Linkin Park
2. Monster – Paramore
3. The Only Hope For Me Is You – My Chemical Romance
4. Faith – Taking Back Sunday
5. The Bottom – Staind
6. Get Thru This – Art Of Dying
7. All That you Are – Goo Goo Dolls
8. Head Above Water – Theory Of A Deadman
9. Set The World On Fire – Black Veil Brides
10. Alive & Awake (Remix) – Skillet
11. Just Got Paid – Mastodon

I am a fan of Linkin Park so I'm not sure if it cloud my judgement on which is the best song.  :P but I do love other song as well, and they fit the mood of the movie.

Finally, if you are a fan of movie with hot sexy actress fresh from Victoria's Secret runaway, explosion and more explosion, and a great CGI effect (maybe will look and feel much better in 3D which I don't do and see) this movie is for you.
If you are hoping for something more like me, you will find this movie boring to bits.

(I heard they are planning for the fourth installment but without Shia LeBeouf or micheal Bay, but I don't think I'm going to watch this again after bad movie one after another. I'm afraid the quality will reach it's lowest point at sometimes later)

Movie Review: X-MEN First Class

ok, so today (2 June 2011) we went to watch X-MEN First Class. (but the review is publish on 14 June 2011)
Don't mind the lateness of our trip, or my being lost to Ikano and unable to find Nando's for dinner, we will straight go to the movie part.

The movie is... nice.
well, I don't have much say about it.. especially after so long in the closet. duh!

The story is somewhat refreshing. The storyline is about the the friendship and long battleship between Prof X. Xavier and Magneto. I love James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, charming and naive and only see good things around him. We also will come to understand and somehow accepted Magneto story, and in fact, feel sorry for him. especially when he's out to revenge for him mother's death. Raven or Mystique is a sad girl feeling like a freak, and is trying to find herself.
The story is fast moving, but the problem is the filmmakers have tried to cram as much as possible into the script and not only does this cause the film to skip from one place to the next for much of its running time, but it also leaves quite a few of the characters sorely underdeveloped.
The action scene is great with the special effect nicely done. I love some of the action scene more that others, especially with Magneto or Havoc and Banshee around.
I am just feel weird about the existence of Emma Shaw as she's already featured in Wolverine: The Origin as in totally different situation.

They have a good story, mixed of action, drama and comedy wherever needed.
I would not mind watching it again few times more, I think.

Summary: 4 stars / 5 stars.

Note: Actually I dream of preparing my own review of movie, so I can practice my writing. but i'm too lazy. pfffttt...
